Episode 28: Aisha Ayensu

Aisha Ayensu is the award-winning founder and Creative Director of the Ghanaian based fashion house, Christie Brown. Inspired by her grandmother, Aisha launched the fashion line in 2008 and transformed it into a global brand with her unique creative eye for design and her entrepreneurial spirit. Aisha’s designs can be spotted worldwide on television, in films, and on celebrities like Beyoncé. In 2016, Ayensu was listed as one of Forbes’ “Most Promising Entrepreneurs” and in 2019 was selected as the “African Designer of the Year” at the Glitz Style Awards. Aisha continues to inspire a new generation of African designers by demonstrating that a life led by faith, family, and fashion can have an impact on the world.
