Season 2, Episode 7: Keanan Duffty

Keanan Duffty is a British fashion designer and musician based in New York City. Duffty studied fashion design at Saint Martin’s School of Art in London and is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. He is also a Mentor for the Master’s Program in Fashion Styling at Polimoda, and a Program Director at the Master’s of Professional Studies in Fashion Management at Parsons School of Design.

In addition to launching his own label, Slinky Vagabond in the 1990s, Keanan would later work for brands like Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B., John Varvatos, and launched an exclusive line for David Bowie at Target. Duffty also co-authored the book Rebel Rebel-Anti Style, which traced the roots of rebel style and emphasized the cultural impact of punk and The New Romantic Era. Keanan sat down with host Kirsten Holtz Naim to talk about his journey as a designer, his life in the music industry, along with some of his favorite fashion moments of all time.
