What does it take to become a legendary makeup artist? Through creative control, adaptability, and the courage to love — Sandy Linter epitomizes the character of a daring artist. From her single-handed makeup creations gracing the covers of Vogue for decades to her notable romance with the late model Gia Carangi, Sandy has worked with nearly every top model in every facet of the industry, for decades. Sandy recently opened her latest exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum called ‘Studio 54: Night Magic’ — a testament to her experience, vision, and legacy in the industry.
In this week’s episode, Kirsten and Sandy sit down to discuss how to stay relevant in the industry, mental health awareness in the fashion industry of the 1970’s, and how doing her mother’s makeup as a young girl gave her the confidence to pursue her dreams.
