With his eyes set on a successful musical career, Elliot suddenly lost his passion for performing and took some time to uncover a new direction for his life. Full of curiosity, Elliot took the leap and flew out to New York to attend fashion week. With a resilient determination to learn about the fashion industry, Elliot asked the questions necessary to untangle the web of what it took to make it. Carlyle eventually landed a position working at fashion week, transitioned into public relations, and would later accept a position to assist the founder of New York Fashion Week, Fern Mallis. After overcoming severe sickness and homelessness, Elliot prayed and persisted. He is now a successful consultant for the Council of Fashion Designers of America, an author, an empowerment speaker, a life coach, and a diversity and inclusion advocate.
